pleasures of being a girl

Posted in Uncategorized by gkhiangte on March 18, 2009

you get a seat in the bus

you get to wear pretty dresses

you get to smell nice

you get to make a ladies’ line in the bank

your calls never get rejected even in the middle of the night

you have the ‘pms’ excuse for every foul mood and get away with it

you can tear up easily and avoid scoldings

you get a lift from the guys on their cycles (campus)

you get to be asked out on a date

you get to order a lot of food and not eat at all

you get to act dumber than your guy which boosts his ego

you bleed for five days and don’t die

yes, these pleasures i have listed down aren’t true for evryone, i know. i totally understand the frustration that some people might have in reading this. i am just writing down what i know from experience and believe me, the list for displeasures of being a girl/woman is longer than this list.
i prefer blogging the positive side of things this time.

You might want to edit that to Pleasures of being a young girl. After a certain point in time, getting the benefits you’ve listed is as tough as old boots. Ditto for married women, even young married ones. A friend who married in her early 20s once told me that after she became a missus, her male colleagues no longer ever bothered to offer her kuhva and other things she’d taken for granted as a single girl.

Moral of post, swear by the Robert Herrick poem Gather ye roses while ye may!

Awihawm loh ee…U Malsawma te chu hetiang lamah te chuan “expi” lutuk ni lawm ni… You know, he bleeds for three days..unlike gals. :)))

“your calls never get rejected even in the middle of the night’ – try my number after midnight..lolz..twill change your ops abt the same..lolz..

    E, sth interesting abt “being a teacher”…
You get to listen to the crazy ideas of the kids..
    You become “I-know-everything-guy”..
You tell lies and become a hero
You tell your stories and kids think that its from a storybook..
You press “C key alone” and sing a song;students think you are a damn good guitarist
You tell students that Tae Kwon Do originated in Korea and they think you are a “black belt”..
You play “hide n seek” on sunday mornings and its OK..
You get loads of B-Day cards and gifts on your Birthday.. :)))
You get to tell the stories of all your stupid friends..
When you are fat, they think you are as strong as a sumo wresler; and when you are thin – they think you have six packs..

Ka peih tawh lo..class ka nei..
